A boat for all seasons ~ this new design results from  some serious brainstorming by sea-kayak enthusiasts whose home turf (or maybe it is surf) is the southern oceans off South Africa.

 

Designed for the expedition kayaker but also embracing the novice paddler. It is remarkably light, weighing only 26kg's and incredibly durable, which makes it eminently suitable for almost any application: touring, fishing, recreational kayaking, coastal exploration, day tripping, even racing.

≈ User-friendly pulley system to raise/lower the rudder.

≈ Glass fibre spray deflector: closes off half the cockpit and deflects water from the seat well.

 

This undeniably unique craft can be paddled as a complete sit-on top, as a partial sit-in / sit-on by simply adding the soft-top spray deflector -  which covers only half the cockpit - or it can be transformed into a complete sit-inside touring kayak, by attaching the custom-made nylon spray-deck.
The length of the Comanche, together with the efficient hull design allow for optimum cruising speed, making her the perfect craft for river and sea paddling...even racing. Each kayak features two secure bulkheads, which not only provide additional buoyancy, but also create 2 large capacity watertight compartments, each sealed with a watertight hatch. The cockpit is fitted with a non return drainage system - no more feet in cold water.
